Thank you mks and barefootmama!! What I think is so wonderful is that so many people are joining in to help for so many different reasons. I want to give everybody a big hug!!
I can help out too. A friend and I have been talking about doing this exact same thing for one of our local NICUs, and I am happy to send some to you as well. Thank you for starting this thread/project!

:sunny: Kimmie, you are a ray of sunshine in many peoples lives!!!! I'm sure many moms & dads will appreciate these wonderful gifts from everyone. Count me in!!!!!!!!! I'll start tonight
Kimmie, that is a wonderful project! My best friend lost twins at 22.5 weeks (another 10 days and they would have been 'viable'), and the hats and demise pouch she was given to put her babies into was just beautiful! (Yes, I saw the babies, and it was the saddest but most necessary thing I have ever done).
I already donate things to my local hospital, but I will do up a couple more in the next month or so (too many projects on my to do list at this point).
My husband was born weighing 2lbs 7 ozs--his sister became a NICU/PICU nurse b/c of it. His parents were making funeral arrangements for him b/c no one thought he'd make it...thank God he did...
I am tearing up over this thread and I've also emailed my dsil to ask her to put me in touch w/ someone at her hospital that I can do this for on a regular basis.
I'll go check out the KAL thread to find out where to send the items.
Jenelle, Jennifer, Julie, Katy, Ingrid and Cristy, thank you for volunteering to do this to help comfort parents none of us will ever meet. You are all just the best!!
Cristy - what a great story about your husband!!
I need to figure out how to move this thread to the KAL forum now... Ingrid? Kelly? Let's see if it mysteriously zaps over there. If not, I'll pm someone.
As for where to mail the items, just send me a private message when you are ready and I'll send you my address. I'll plan on delivering them all during the first week of April. Any of you who live close enough who want to join me that day are more than welcome to do so! I'll take pictures too since I know that most people live way too far away to even consider that.
