Pattern assistance
The pattern states to work front as for back until 10 rows less have been woprked before beg of shoulder shaping, thus ending with RS facing for next row. NECK shaping: etc

Should I actually do the shoulder shaping then begin the neck shaping?

Also, When I was taking a knitting class the instructor, suggested that instead of casting off on the shoulders to do short rows keeping the stitches live and do a three needle bind off for the shoulder seams. Does anyone have any opinions on that.

Thanks for the assistance. This website has been such a big help

If you do the shoulder shaping now, you're shoulders will be ten rows shorter on the front than the back.

You start the neck shaping at this point. At some point in the pattern, it will tell you when and how to shape the shoulders, usually with a large AT THE SAME TIME. If you're still in doubt, post here and we can help.

I always do short row shaping for the shoulders and do three needle bind off. It makes such a wonderful difference.
