Oh goodness, I am absolutely in love with the pattern on page 46, the Waterlily Top. Does anyone know what happens if you use non-ribbon yarn in a pattern that calls for ribbon yarn?? I've been looking aaaaaaaaall over the place and can't find a suitable ribbon yarn to sub for that pricey (but goooorgeous) Colinette Giotto.
I don't knit to save money, but good lord! I can't stand it when magazines and books have these beautiful patterns in yarn that the average, or even above-average, person can't afford. They should at least give a realistic substitute.
