issue from a n00b.
hey there. I'm new here and new to knitting and I encountered a problem which is probably really simple for all of you's more experienced people. :P

I'm knitting a sock pattern from here and I don't know what to do when it says
Quote:
BO 6 sts, work 12 sts in rib, BO rem sts
I'd do exactly what it says, but won't it end up with 6sts of BO shorter than the rest of the sts/otherBO? *.* I'm not sure if that made sense, but ay help is appriciated.
I know it's probably a silly issue, but I don't want to make a mistake that's too difficult to back up. XD

You bind off six stitches.
YOu knit/purl your way along through the next twelve stiches.
Then you bind off the rest.

All of the above happens on the same row.
