I'm a newbie too and a sock knitting failure! I'm trying to make myself feel better by doing cables.

well, I've done basic socks and mittens but never experimented with patterns before.

My red socks are on hold atm as I ran out of yarn (am getting more next week), but found some Noro kureyon on sale on the internet and couldn't resist buying :D

Hopefully my two shades of noro kureyon will come tomorrow so I can get started with some more socks

It's from http://craftoholic.blogspot.com/ it's either the springgrass or the orchid socks pattern (can't remember which one). The instructions are in one of the posts (even though it says email for instructions).

got my noro kureyon yarn in the post today and can't really decide what to do with it.

I started making a sock, but don't know if it'll end up staying as a sock or if I'll unravel it and start something else...
