HELP!!!! can i substitute this kind of yarn??

i want to make this for my mother for mothers day but i can't seem to find the yarn, what can i substitue in its place so that it can be worn in the summer?? i am not familiar with fabrics yet!!! i really want it to be perfect!!! please help asap thanks!!!

Though I don't have a specific yarn suggestion, I would like to point out this commentary by the designer of that pattern (scroll about halfway down the page). Apparently, many were unable to find the specific yarn she used. She suggests any soft worsted weight yarn, but do go and read what else she said about the pattern if you haven't already. :D
