I knit a hat in the round to match the scarf I already knit for the hubby. Unfortunately, I think I messed up on the gauge, for it is far too big!
I showed him some pics of before and after for felting, and he doesn't like the "fuzzy" look of a felted garment. So, can I sew a seam up the back? How would one do this? I haven't been able to find anything describing such a technique. I need to take in about three inches for it to fit right.
I do have some leftover yarn (a little bit). I also have a sewing machine, but the yarn is pretty bulky and I don't think the hat would fit that well under the pressure foot. Any suggestions would be most appreciated!
is a picture of the catastrophe, if it helps.
