Try this site: http://www.joyofhandspinning.com/

Look on the menu at the right. Discyussions on Alpaca, wool, silk etc.

They also have some great videos. I consider it the "knittinghelp" site of spinning

There is a book I have been wanting to pick up from Amazon called In Sheeps Clothing
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/193...Fencoding=UTF8
It covers information on the different fibers produced by all the different breeds of sheep. There is also some infor on other animal fibers (alpaca, angora, etc) at www.joyofhandspinning.com
