Wow!

Others are interested in the Starsky cardi!!! I'm so glad to find that out. :D

I went to my LYS yesterday in search of yarn. (As I live in Sweden I can't have KnitPicks sending me yarn...) I found a great wool yarn in an offwhite colour that I liked. Only problem is that it's supposed to knit up to 12st*18rows and the pattern calls for 16st*18rows... I got one hank of it and will play around on different needles to see if I can work it out...

What do you guys think? Possible?

I will also practise the banana leaves pattern to see if I'll be able to do it at all. I imagine it not being too difficult if I can just keep track on what row I'm on and usually I'm very good with my pen and paper.

I just submitted a knitpicks order for Sierra in cranberry for this cardigan! Included in the order is some WOTA for a different project that is not in stock until 3/17. Guess I'll be waiting awhile for this order!

Will they send the Sierra right away or do they have to wait? Which WOTA isn't in stock?

I told DH about this sweater and he actually seemed interested. I think that means I could get away with a KP order

I am unfortunately on a "yarn freeze" until I get my stash down some. It has now filled a chest in my family room we use as a coffee table. I definately need to finish tubey and the other sweater I had planned to make room for a knitpicks order for starsky

Hey I am a lefty and now even I can do cables! Easy stuff. But I admit, having just learned I am not really good with tensioning yet. Your stitches have to be looser to get them to cross cleanly. At least in my experience (which is a total of 16 rows or one pattern repeat)

I would be willing to mediate for you so you could get some. We could work something out. We could have it sent to my house and then I could forward it on to you. Is there a thread abot doing an international KP helpers thingy?

ooooooooh!

I just checked my order status and it's partially shipped! So that means I'll get my Sierra right away. I ordered WOTA in coal and it's not available until 3/17. It's ok though. I'm making felted lambs as a gift for a baby shower my mom is attending and I have a little time.

Oh, that's very nice of you, feministmama!

However, I found a 100% wool yarn at my LYS that I think I'll use. It comes out great in gauge and seems okey to work with. A bit scratchy but as it's washable I hope a cycle in the washer will soften it up a bit. I guess the Sierra would be softer...

I'll get back to you if I change my mind. Thanks again!
