My very first project! (so proud...)
Actually, my VERY first was a hat I did for the beginners' class I'm taking, but this baby blanket felt more "officially" like my first project, because it took awhile! I have to say I am absolutely hooked on this knitting thing. I have a toddler hooded sweater just about done (have to sew on a pocket), I've also made three more hats, and now I'm working on the first thing for myself - a knitting bag.

This is so much fun, and this site has been SUCH a huge help...

Not the best photo, unfortunately. First, I'll hone my knitting skills; next I'll tackle photography!

Thanks! Yes, I was in love with the yarn the whole time. It's double strands of this lovely cotton baby-weight. I used very light blue and very light green. Can't remember what the brand was, but it was the first yarn I bought, and so I had no context for thinking about price. Turns out this was pretty expensive! (The cotton yarn I used for the sweater I'm finishing cost about $11 total for the whole thing, vs. $60 for the blanket!)
