I'm not sure what yarn I'd buy 'cause I tend to buy based on color, texture, all those intangibles that so far hasn't made me swear allegiance to any one kind yet. But I definitely would spend lots on Brittany Birch needles and finally, finally break down and buy some Addi turbos. I lust after them but never know which ones to buy cause I have so many sets of needles now (including the Denise set), I have a hard time justifying spending more on needles. (I'm now collecting dpns. Don't have a lot of them yet.)

I would definitely buy some books- Sensational Knitted Socks is on my wish list, as well as some others. I would want to get enough Debbie Bliss Cashmerino for a sweater, as well as a bunch of Lamb's Pride Chunky. As for the rest, I think I'd go to this really HUGE yarn store that is about 2 hrs away from me, allow myself as much time as I needed (which would probably be about 15 minutes!), and just buy whatever looked/felt good!!
Okay, let me wipe up the puddle of drool off of my keyboard now..........

What a wonderful fantasy!

I would get enough Plymouth Indiecita baby alpaca dk to make the velvet trim sweater from AlterKnits, a handful of good sock yarns, and Manos del Uruguay in every color I can get my hands on.

Then I'd pick up a couple sets of Ebony Lantern Moons (I've held them in my hands but never used them, I think I'd fall in love fast) and, if there's anything left, a book or two.

Yum.

I'd make a $500 payment to my credit card. It IS for yarn.

  • Ball Winder and Swift!
I'd splurge on some cashmere in white if it came in baby weight to do a complete christening ensemble for a future child of mine
A couple KnitOne bags for totin' small projects hither and yon.
    Lots of Alpaca yarn!
    Patterns
    Needles
    Knitting software
