How do you sew the pieces together?
My mom taught me to knit while she was sick but she died before she could show me how to sew the pieces together. There are no videos on how to sew pieces together on the site. Can anyone give me pointers or did I miss a video on this site somewhere? I love this site by the way.

There are videos! I pretty much use Mattress Stitch for my pieces, but if you look under the Basic Techniques, More tab and scroll down, there is a section for Finishing and seaming.

If you are like me and need things to constantly refer back to but can't always get on the computer, I read on another forum to get the book The Knitter's Book of Finishing Techniques by Nancie M. Wiseman and so I did. I definitely use this book a lot, in addition to actually seeing it being done on the videos. It especially comes in handy when I am in bed and dh is on the computer, or when we are traveling, I keep this book with me and it is a huge help.

I agree!!!!! That book is the best! I've said it before, and I'll say it again. It made all the difference for me to be able to finish things properly.

sorry, i missed that video. i watched the kitchner one, but didn't realize the next one had my answer. thank you for the name of the book as well, i believe i will go look for it. i wish i'd asked you sooner because the slipper i sewed together (i did a small project to try sewing together pieces before i tried sewing the sweater together) last night would look a lot better if i'd seen that video first. thanks so much :XX:
