knitting with circulars
I cast on my stitches which are on my left needle. The working yarn is on the right needle. I knit my first row and end up knitting in the round?

I want to knit back and forth not in the round. What am i doing wrong?

Looked for a video showing how to knit back and forth on circulars. I did find Amys video for knitting in the round. Does she have one for knitting back and forth?

Thanks

When you knit flat on circs, use your needles as if they are separate. Have all your stitches on the left needle and knit onto the right. When you're done with the row, turn your work as you would with straights and knit from the left needle again.

Also..when knitting flat your working yarn will be on the left needle. When you are going to join the working yarn will be on the right needle at the end of the stitches. Hope I didn't muddy the waters here, but when I figure this out it helped and I've not joined by accident since.

I use a BIG clunky Stitch marker at the begining of the row, so if the stitchses get jammed together, I still know where to turn

those Lateral Scafes need that
300+ stitches on a little old 29" needle
looks scarey to start
