Bind off help for new knitter!

I'm a newbie - got started from this site, and have been making scarves for about a month. Such fun!!! I'm using the basic garter stitch - but am having problems binding off with a professional look. Can you please offer som assistance? Thanks SO much! :XX:

It takes practice like anything else. Did you look at Amy's bind off videos?

Yes - the video really helped. I can complete the bind-off just fine - but what to do with the 'tail'?!?

check out amy's video of a small project. it is a teeny tiny little square and i got all sortsa great tips from watching that several months after i figured i had "mastered" the basics. There is a great little tip for the tail there at the end of the video!
