Opinions on this yarn??

Has anyone ever used Skacel Sirenetta? Any thoughts? I'm wanting to try this for a baby cardigan. Would this be appropriate (read: not going to irritate baby's skin all to heck)?

I can't imagine that it would bother a baby's skin. Cotton and acrylic are usually what baby sweaters are made out of.

One more question!!

The pattern's guage is 5.25 per inch and the yarn's guage is 4.5 per inch, so is that close enough that I could do a direct yarn substitution. The pattern says that I need 392 yards, so could I just aim for 392 of the Sirenetta and everything would be hunky-dory? Or do I need to do some more yarn figurin'? Please say no - I hate math. :(

I'm so paranoid about ordering yarn, because I invariably get too little and run out partway through projects.

You'd have to order 4 to get more than 392 yards, so I'd say that even with an adjustment for gauge you should have enough.
