My So Called Scarf from Sheep in the city

Row 2: *P2tog, do not slip stitches off the needle, purl the first stitch again, slip both stitches off needle*

It' shouldn't be super tight. Just purl the two stitches together--but don't slide them off the needle. Then reinsert your needle and purl the first stitch again. The slide it off. Is that what you've been doing?

It shouldn't be super tight, but probably tighter than the rest of your work. And it will have a tendency to fall off more easily, and you just have to speak nicely to them and ask them please to stay on for just a second while you do that extr stitch. If you're a bit careful, they'll often listen - but not always!!

Here is a link to someone doing the exact same scarf. Maybe you can ask her since she's doing it now.
