P2tog Help

I've been meaning to ask this and I just saw that some one just made this scarf

My So Called Scarf from Sheep in the city


Row 2: *P2tog, do not slip stitches off the needle, purl the first stitch again, slip both stitches off needle*

I think I understand how to do the stitch
But it is so tight and the stitches just sssometimes keep falling off the needles can anyone help

It' shouldn't be super tight. Just purl the two stitches together--but don't slide them off the needle. Then reinsert your needle and purl the first stitch again.The slide it off. Is that what you've been doing?

It shouldn't be super tight, but probably tighter than the rest of your work. And it will have a tendency to fall off more easily, and you just have to speak nicely to them and ask them please to stay on for just a second while you do that extr stitch. If you're a bit careful, they'll often listen - but not always!!

Am I supposed to be doing a KFB (KPB) like in Amys video

after I purl 2tog I then purl from the back to the front?
