Preventing Pilling???
I think I read a home remedy, Heloise kind of thing somewhere about keeping sweaters from pilling? I can't remember what it is. Was it something you could put in the dryer or rub on the sweater? Anyway, if you can think of something, I'd love to know.

I don't know, but I just saw this in the latest KnitPicks catalogue.

I just read this in one of my knitting books, but don't remember which one!! Put the sweater in washer (cold water) and add a couple drops of glycerin! But DO NOT PUT IN DRYER afterwards! Haven't tried it yet. But I do have a piller to try it on soon. Even have the glycerin. Just need to shave it first.

Yep, that is the one! I was trying to remember what you were supposed to put in the washer. I am going to try this.

i'm renewing this... did it work? do you actually wash the handknit item in the washer with the glycerine or is it more of a soak?

thanks
