sizing
Hi. When you knit a top/sweater what do the sizes mean? If it states that size small is 34 inches is that the finished size or the size you should knit if that is your chest/bra size?

Which pattern are you using? Most sweater patterns that I have seen give measurements, but it does say chest measurement. :thinking:

I always measure a sweater that I like the fit of and use those measurements. Usually a pattern gives you the finished measurements of the sweater in addition to your measurements. You need to have a certain amount of ease in a sweater so it's not skin tight.
