Velvetspun Chevron Baby Blanket

Okay, here is a pattern I made up for a baby blanket that can be completed very quickly and is colorful and soft. It is quite bulky, and measures about 36 inches wide, by as long as you like. Each multiple of 12 rows is about 3.5 inches.

8 skeins of Velvetspun yarn in 2-4 colors.
Size 10.5 circular needles.

Cast on 88 stitches in Color A (or any multiple of 11)
Row 1-6: Knit
With Color B (or Color D)
Row 7: *K2tog, k2, k into front and back of next 2 stitches, k3, sl1, k1, psso, repeat from * across the row
Row 8: purl
Row 9: Same as row 6.
Row 10: purl
Row 11: same as row 6.
Going back to Color A (or Color C)
Row 12: purl

Repeat these 12 rows for pattern, until blanket reaches desire length. You may change the number of rows you do for each color, for instance in my picture, I only did rows 7-10 for purple and then started back on Row 1. This makes the purple stripe thinner than the white stripe and can give more visual interest.
