I am doing a purse pattern
and here's the first part of the instructions :
Row 1: k2, p2, k4, p6, k4, p2, k4, p6, k4, p2, k2
Row 2 & 3: Knit the knits, purl the purls.
I have done rows 1-3 and I have to admit it doesn't look like much. I'm not sure I'm doing it right.
The yarn is kinda dark too, I'm using Lamb's Pride bulky but it's a dark blue... my mom will like that color, even though the cables won't show up too well.
Anyhow... can someone explain what I should do when it says knit the knits and purl the purls? I get confused about whether a bump is a knit or a purl and whether it changes depending on which side you're on. What I did was just reverse the row 1 instructions for the 2nd row, and then follow the row 1 instructions exactly for row 3. Is that right?
