Yarn Forward

I'm making the most adorable dinosaur and the pattern for the ridges on his back call for a yarn forward and then k2. I can't quite figure out how to yarn forward before the row even starts. Help!!

Do you have a link to the pattern by any chance?

Does it look like there's supposed to be a loop at the end? You can do a yarn over at the beginning of the row by bringing the yarn over the needle before you do your stitch, but I'd think they'd call this a yo rather than a yf.

what did u do on the last row? is your yarn at the back as a result? coz if so then u an do yan forward.
