I was at my local SnB group last night when we had a really neat surprise! There is a local guy who spins and he stopped by our meeting to ask if we were interested in seeing what he had left to sell as he is leaving the country for a couple months or so. We all said of course! He went back home and brought back 2-3 big bags of gorgeous hand spun hanks. The kicker - no matter what the price was marked on anything he said we could have any hank for $5!!! I bought 7 hanks of natural creamy colored merino and 2 grey tweedy colored ones that are 75% wool and 25% mohair. There was no way I could pass up that great a deal - especially since the hanks of merino were marked from $15 - $26 each and the grey ones were about $15 each.
