Blocking??

I finally got the bumble bee sweater (that is a free pattern on this site) knitted thanks to Jackie's help. Now I am ready to sew it together.
Do I need to block this? I have never blocked anything, and this will be my first attempt of sewing also. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I sew before I block--and depending on your yarn, you may not need to block at all.

Take a look at mattress stitch for seaming. It does a wonderful job!
