Guage
I know there must be a million questions on guage but if someone could help me, a beginner knitter, I would appreciate it!

I have some yarn, it is 24rows/18stitches for a 4x4 swatch. The pattern I want to do calls for yarn that is 16stsx 21 rows using 5.5mm needles on a 10x10cm square. Would this yarn work?

Thanks so much for your help!

Re: Guage
Knit a gauge swatch and see. You might find that the way you knit makes up for the missing two stitches per inch. Using a larger needle might help, too.
