Q about a pattern in "Weekend Knitting" book
Hello. I have a question about a particular pattern in the Weekend Knitting: 50 Unique Projects and Ideas (Melanie Falick, Erika McConnell)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/158...lance&n=283155

book.

For the lace camilosole and pull-off cowl, it suggest the use of Rowan Kidsilk Haze and Cotton Perle. I guess what I was wondering (I'm sorry if this is really obvious, I'm a new knitter... ) but I can't figure out from the pattern when to use which yarn. Does it require using both together?

Thank you.

Hi!

I haven't knit this pattern, but I can see why you're confused! I don't see when it says what yarn to use either. But I read through the pattern and judging by the yardage requirements, 3 sks of Cotton Perle @ 27 yds = 81 yds total, I think the Cotton Perle is just for the crocheted edges. If you look closely at the pics, you'll see they look different from the main part of the fabric.

Hope this helps!
Carol
