What would be a good substitute for this yarn?
I want to make a nightgown out of the Mason Dixon book. For my size I'd need 4 skeins of this, but I can't afford 4 of them at that price!

What would be a more affordable yet still nice substitute? TIA

You can get a 650 yd cone here
for $36.

Does it have to be linen? I'm sure there are lots of sport weight cottons that would work, too.

If you really want linen, I can get Henry's Attic Linen for $39 for 1 lb cone, 1200 ypp...almost the same as the Louet weight.

Otherwise, I would think any nice cotton of a similar weight would be a good substitute.
