Look what I'm making!

I'm so excited, and have to admit to being a bit proud of myself too. I bought this kit for one of my sons as a Christmas present. I had been working on a dress for my darling youngest granddaughter but had to stop until I could slip it over her head and check the fit before I finished it. I'm one of those knitters who isn't crazy about having lots of projects OTNs, but I had to have something going in my hands didn't I? Sooooooooo, I pulled out the scarf kit. Going along fine until the "eyelids". The pattern tried to make me feel better by telling me they were just little sideways pockets. Uh huh, I'd never knitted in a pocket-sideways or otherways. Remembering Ingrid's "trust the pattern" and Kelly's "....knitting is just pulling loops through loops" I plowed on and guess what?!??!! It worked just right! I'm just tickled.
