FO - My Design "Gotta Touch It" Baby Blanket
Last week, I started making a baby blanket for my cousin's baby shower. I was planning on using the same yarn throughout, and realized I would need to buy more skeins to finish it.

I really didn't want to buy more yarn, because I'm not really that close to my cousin. I'm basically making the blanket as a favor to my Mom.

So.....

I started looking around my craft room, and saw LOTS of other yarns the same thickness as the one I was using. I decided to use them as fillers for the project.

After I started using the new yarn, I was intrigued with the way the blanket felt in my hands. The different yarns made such an interesting texture. I imagined a little baby being interested in the way it felt too. Bingo! A texture-teaching blanket!

So far, I've used Lion Brand Velvetspun, Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick, and the original yarn I bought, Red Heart Bright and Lofty. I think when I get finished with the knitting, I'll add a crochet border around the edge.

Thanks! My favorite part is that it's machine washable and dryable!
