question about my sweater

I am going to do k1p1 ribbing for the cuffs bottom and either crew neck or turtle neck(I haven't decided)My question is for the neck and the bottom of the sweater should I still do the decreases before I switch to the smaller needles?The pattern is for the rolled edges.

Most ribbed sweaters have fewer stitches that the stockinette section, so you probably should. I'd check other patterns with ribbing and see if the percentage of decrease is the same as they want for the rolled sweater. :thinking:
