Knitting activism
Check this out

http://www.iknit.org.uk/knitariver.html

Anyone have any other resources to use knitting as a form of activism?

I googled 'knitting activism' and got the following, some specific, some general (search for 'knitting' on them):

http://www.bpeace.com/projprog_rwanda.php
http://www.edimports.com/
http://craftivism.com/
http://castoff.info/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/fremsley/131004905/
http://www.fiberandcraft.org/

I don't have any personal experience, but I find it interesting. I guess I have a bit of reading to do!

That's pretty darn cool. I would love to see the finished product too! Since its in London, I doubt it would make news in the US. I'll have to bookmark it to see how it ends up. I have so much extra blue yarn too - I'll need to do a few squares.
