Midnight Purse Pattern
I came up with the pattern just now. Simple and quick to make!

Midnight Purse

-Size US 7(4.5 MM) needles
-DK weight yarn(sample shown in Lion Brand Glitter Magic)

Body

Cast on 36 stitches using long tail method.

Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Purl
Row 3: (k2tog) 3 times, (yo, k1) 6 times, (k2tog) 6 times, (yo, k1) 6 times, (k2tog) 3 times.
Row 4: Knit

Repeat these 4 rows for a total of 15 repeats(or 60 rows) ending with row two.

Next row: Knit across
Next row: Purl across
Nect row: Knit across
Next row: Bind off purlwise.

Go to the cast on row, pick up 36 stitches across.

Next row: Knit across
Next row: Purl across
Next row: Knit across
Next row: Bind off purl-wise

Sew the side seams together, leaving the top open.

Handle

Cast on 4 stitches

Row 1: Kfb(knit into the front and back) of each stitch across
Row 2: Knit across
Row 3: *Knit 1, slip one wyif(with yarn in front) across

Repeat row three until handle is desired length.

(optional)Wash and block the bag before you seam the sides. This will prevent the top of the bag from curling.

Line the purse with fabric if you want to, and then sew the handles on.

Perfect for a night out in town!

So pretty
Your purse is so pretty!!! You did a wonderful job. Do I see beads on it?? Very beautiful. Where in the pattern did you put the beads on? I've never done beading ..yet. Also is it lined with white fabric?? Thanks for sharing your pattern.

I didn't put beads on it.

It's that type of yarn that has that silver strip going around it, but it's discontinued. If you want to you could add beads to it.

Yes I lined it with white fabric. I think it would be cute in a multi-colored yarn too, with a funky lining.
