Branching Out Finished!- post blocking image on page 2
I finished my brancing out lace scarf today. I took me a while as I didn't work on it every day. I also knitted other things along the way. I used Knit Picks Elegance in Oatmeal, two skeins. I used a felted join as shown in Amy's videos with good success. I cast on and off with size 9 needles but knitted in it on size 8's. The Elegance is soft and lovely to work with. I am posting pre-blocked and during blocking pictures. Post blocking pics should come later.

I plan to give this to my friend of nearly 20 years. Her mother recently died; as my little girl says I hope it makes her feel better.

Great job! Lace always seems really hard... so kudos for making it so great!

It took me almost a month. If I had worked on it exclusively I could have been done sooner I'm sure. I did get faster and better at it towards the end. For those of you who don't already know the pattern is from Knitty.com.

Thanks for all the nice comments.

Beautiful job! I often put a sheet over my blocking knits (so long as they're not too wet) to try to keep the cats off! Of course then they want to know what's under the sheet, but it works for a while anyway!
