OT - Crocheting
hi all

firstly, appoligies for not being about as much as i would like to have been, but we have been doing the dreaded house move. i always vowe never again, but the new house is going to be for sale in sept (not enough land for the horses, and i want to buy a couple of llams, wonder why lol).

anyway, i want to learn to crochet. i am totally useless, never done it before. i have formed the chain and the get stuck. anyone know anywhere online that can teach me please? i learnt to knit on here so know i can folow instructions from the net. i have 10 tons of odds of yarn that i don't want to waste, or leave in a drawer as its overflowing. plan is for a simple blanket to throw over my3 year old son in winter.

any ideas please all

thanks

http://www.crochetcabana.com/tutorials/index.htm is one of the best crochet learning sites. It has great photos.

I found the Lion Brand website very helpful.
www.lionbrand.com and just follow the link to crochet.

I just learned over the weekend. It's awkward... but I know it should get better. My tension is terrible! I'm all over the place b/t loose as a goose and tighter than a tick....
Good luck

I don't crochet but I've heard that www.anniesattic.com is good....I think they may have videos like this site but I'm not sure....just click on stitch help at the top and choose crochet...see if that helps!

I am most often at Crochetville, yes, although I can be found as a member of at least half a dozen crochet forums and at least three knit forums, as well as a lurker elsewhere. How else do I find all of CPC and KPC's links?

Grin.

What a thread hijack this turned out to be (not your fault!) CPC and KPC are fun (although, admittedly, lots of work!)

I happen to know you plugged me in as the one who referred you to Crochetville...that was nice of you. :D
