Reading pattern
I am attempting to knit my first article of clothing--a tank top. I have just finished the section titled "Shaping the armholes". The pattern then tells me how many stitches should be on my ndls and says "work even" until the armhole reaches 6 1/2 inches. I don't know what "work even" means. Does it mean continue the regular pattern stitch or keep decreasing for the armhole?
Thanks!

It means keep working the same number of stitches.
