Pattern Repeat Question
I am making a dishcloth that has a pattern I really like. I want to continue the pattern and create a scarf. I think the length wise pattern is repeating rows 5-20. When I get to the end of the scarf, repeat rows 5 and 6. Would someone look at the pattern and let me know if I am reading it correctly.

Materials: 1 ball Cotton yarn, Size 6 US needles.
Directions:
Cast on 40 stitches or a Multiple of 8 plus 2
Row 1: knit acroos
Row 2: knit across
Row 3: knit across
Row 4: knit across
Row 5: K3, *P2, K6, repeat from * to last 5 sts. P2, K3.
Row 6: K5, *P6, K2, repeat from * to last 3 sts. K3.
Row 7: K3, * P2, yo, k2, skpo, k2, rep from * to last 5 sts. p2, k3.
Row 8: K5, *P6, K2, repeat from * to last 3 sts. K3.
Row 9: K3, * p2, k1, yo, k2, skpo, k1 rep from * to last 5 sts. p2, k3.
Row 10: K5, *P6, K2, repeat from * to last 3 sts. K3.
Row 11: K3, * p2, k2, yo, k2, skpo, rep from * to last 5 sts. p2, k3.
Row 12: K5, *P6, K2, repeat from * to last 3 sts. K3.
Row 13: K3, * p2, k6, Rep from * to last 5 sts. p2, k3.

It looks like you're on the right track. It looks like rows 5 and 6 are already at the end. :thinking: Not knowing what it looks like, though, it's hard for me to tell exactly what you're repeating. It will become obvious, though, as you knit it what it needs to make both ends look the same.

What a great idea! There are so many cute dishcloth patterns out there that could be turned into scarves! Thank you for coming up with this!
