The booties and blanket pattern at Fabulous Yarns are cute, simple, and free. Look here:

www.fabulousyarn.com

I've purchased from her before, she's easy to deal with.

Once I made some hats and baby socks (little socks tend to stay on better than booties in my experience) I started on toys... Jean Greenhowe has some wonderful dolls! Garnstudios has some lovely children's clothing patterns for free on their sites.

Thanks for finding this pattern. I bought a ball of this yarn and was looking for a pattern for a co-worker who's daughter is having a baby shower this weekend!!

I love this sweater, and it has fit her for so long. I would suggest knitting it a little longer than it says. It would still fit her except it is to short.
