Help!! Question about slipping stitches.
I'm making a pilot cap. Pattern says:
Cast on 41 stitches and knit rows 1-4. DONE
*starting with row 5, be sure to slip (as if to purl) the last 3 stitches on each row.
Row 5: knit 20 stitches across, place marker, M1, knit 1, place marker and knit remaining stitches. ---So, I've done everything, but when I got to the last 3 stitches, instead of knitting them, I slipped them from the left needle to the right needle purlwise. Isn't that what I was supposed to do???
But, then when I turned my work to start row 6, my working yarn is 3 stitches ahead of the first 3 stitches. Am I making any sense???
Help, I'm so confused!!!
