Ah I need help! Can I make it smaller??
OK I wanted to make my honey a nice beanie with his favorite football teams colors.

I made it WAY too big! I am not sure how I did it. But there it is. Its about 2 sizes too big. Is it possible to make is smaller? Or should I just try again

If it's made from wool, you can try shrinking it in the washer with hot water, but keep an eye on it so it doesn't get too small. Otherwise, reknit with smaller needles and/or fewer stitches. He's a good sport about it!

Thanks Ingrid... yeah he was a good sport since I was laughing so hard I had to take the pic 3 times to stop shaking the camera.

I wondered about washing it to shrink it.

Its 100% acrylic yarn.

Acrylic won't shrink. You can add handles and make a bag. Your only option really is to reknit or have him grow dredlocks.
