I know it goes away... I just dont' like it when my knitting looks sloppy

Thanks for the tip about the Plasti spray!!! Let us know how it holds up, like with cracking or wearing down, etc.

OK, my pattern came yesterday, so off to Michaels I went to get some Paton's wool (my KP order didnt arrive till today and I was anxious to start). Last night I managed to get 1 sliiper done for my son, minus the outer sole. Finished that up this afternonn, and couldnt wait to do the other before felting. Something just didnt look right about the outer sole, and I wanted to see if it would be OK before I made a second slipper the wrong way.
I guess I didnt do so good with my picking up stitiches to add the second sole! There is a strange little nub hanging off the back of the clog! Would it be easier to just stitch on the outer sole instead of 3 needle bind off, or am I just an idiot? (Oh, and I didnt do 3 needle, I just picked up and K2tog as I went around)

Hmmm... a nub huh?? Maybe it's just from weaving the ends in? I don't think it matters.

I hear you - I feel the same way about it looking sloppy.

I also just picked up the stitches (for the cuff as well) and knit them together. I didn't have a problem with it .... yet. Hmm, I guess I did do a bit of cosmetic work at the joins, pulling ends together now that I think about it. But no nub.

I am starting Hubby's second clog tonight. Boy oh boy, is the first one HUGE!!!!!

Yay! Just got my pattern!

But the yarn I got with it to match the stuff I already had is nothing like in the picture.

So, I emailed them asking about a return or exchange.
It's really going to suck, having to pay shipping to send it back. It wasn't my fault the picture is wrong!

I suppose it could work together...but it's not the look I was going for.

Oh well... I have until December to get these done.

I just wanted to start. It's my first time making them and first time felting!

In looking at all the fantastic photos of everyones clogs, I have a "duh" question.

The clogs that have mulit-colored uppers - are you knitting 2 different colors together?

The merino at my local craft shop is limited in colors and I want the next pair to be a bit more exciting. I think all the gals in my cooking club will be getting clogs for Xmas - after all, they are a pretty spicy bunch.

Thanks all - I love these clogs and especially this KAL.

I just *finally* ordered my stuff for this today. I picked Knitpicks WOTA in Hyacinth (sp) and Lake Ice Heather. I sure hope they go together!!!

That's what I did. One strand of one color, one strand of another.
