Ok that's it I have to go get the kids pattern now! These kids clogs are waaay to cute! I guess I also need find more kids to knit for!
ETA: I just thought of 3 kids I could knit these for. But I don't know what their shoe sizes are
. Are kids feet pretty much in line with their age? I know it would be easier to just ask their mom what size they wear but I would really like these to be a surprize! Any Moms out there that can help steer me in the right direction size wise? I would like to knit them for a 5 yr old boy, 4yr old girl, and 2yr old girl.
I absolutely love knitting the adult ones. It's magical how all of the sudden they actually look like clogs.
Hilde I did the same thing on my 2nd pair. I felt like I was cheating but it was so much easier!!
Someone asked about making the back higher. I copied this to word so long ago that I don't remember who originally posted this how to on the mega thread. Here are directions on how she did it;
After the joining round, but just before the two extra rounds for the higher heel I: K5, W & T, P10, W&T, K5. This puts you back at the center of the heel to do the next two rounds, but you've added two short rows right at the back of the heel. It works GREAT! and doesn't add any extra bulk around the ankle and instep.
