First timer question
Hi All (as she shyly steps into the KAL).

These clogs are so beautiful I could not resist! Today I started my first pair using Paton's Classic Merino as trial run before using the fantastic pencil roving I just received.

So now I have a silly question - I changed colors and am told to mark the RS - would I maybe just tie a piece of contrasting yarn on the RS of the fabric to designate?

Great thread - I made it through 35 pages of the old one while waiting for my pattern to arrive. Got a few more to go.

I'm not really sure why they say to mark the rs row. It's pretty obvious which side it is. You can just tie a piece of yarn to the stitch if you want.

Thanks, Ingrid. I thought it was obvious with the color change, but just wanted to see what you "pros" thought.

Hi! I just ordered the pattern for both the adult and child's clogs. Could someone help me out with the yardage I will need? I would like to place an order for WOTA to use for this, and I don't want to wait for the pattern to get here. I am a size 7. I know the pattern states 550-880 yds or something like that, but how much do I need for the main color, and how much for the sole?

Thanks!

jmp3775 - The pattern reads: women sm, med, lg (size 6, 8, 10) you will need 550, 600, 650 yds. The sole color - 2/3 of that, the upper color, 1/3.

I can't believe how fast this pattern knits up!! I started both clogs on separate circs yesterday and am ready to seam the outer soles and begin on the inner soles. (I did stay up way too late knitting last night.....)

I think I will be felting will this afternoon And now my DH wants a pair too - what fun!

Thanks so much for this KAL!!! The suggestions and experiences have been invaluable - and everyone's photos are sooooooooo cute!!!!

I do have a question please - do you use single or double yarn to seam?
