Can someone help me with these stitches?

Usually, I can figure out new stitches, but these four (very similar) have me stumped...I know how to do cables, but I don't understand what she means when she says "cross"...can someone help me? They are from a Debbie Bliss pattern...

C2B = cross 2 back, slip next st onto cable needle and leave at back of work, k1, then k1 from cable needle.

C2F = cross 2 front, slip next st onto cable needle and leave at front of work, k1, then k1 from cable needle.

Cr2L = cross 2 left, slip next st onto cable needle and leave at front of work, p1, then k1 from cable needle.

Cr2R = cross 2 right, slip next st onto cable needle and leave at back of work, k1,then p1 from cable needle.

So for the first one, the actual instructions are: slip next st onto cable needle and leave at back of work, k1, then k1 from cable needle Does that help?

Let me add: I have just now seen the marvelous description of Cr2L and Cr2R on this site (should have checked there first!!) But then what does she mean by the front and back ones?

The front and back part just means where you hold your cable needle once you've slipped the stitches onto it. So for the C2B you hold the cable needle to the back and for the C2F you hold the cable needle to the front.

I did a search and found this string which I'll copy for reference.

I have an instruction that I don't know and hope you can help: 4-st LC
There is a drawing of 4 boxes that represent stitches - a diagonal line drawn from top left box down to bottom 4th box. The first & 4th box have 2 slash lines like; //.

The glossary says that LC means to work a cable as in cross 2L. Well, that doesn't help my pea-brain, so I hope someone can 'splain it Lucy'.

I am going to do this IF I can figure this out. BTW, it is the Lion Brand Cable Gingerbread that has this instruction.

A 4 stitch left cross is a cable using 4 stitches, and then end result is that the stitches in the front will lean to the left.

So slip 2 to a cable needle and hold in front, knit 2, then knit 2 from the cable needle.
