Talk to me about the "Einstein Coat".

I'm going to take a peek at Sally Melville's "Einstein Coat" pattern, but I wanted to know what others that have knit this coat have to say about it. Is it difficult to knit? How long does it take (I like quicker gratification projects! ) Any preferred yarns out there, and maybe yarns that should definitely not be used? Any and all advice is welcome. If I did it, this would be my very first garment...probably the biggest project I will have knitted.
