Lonnie's Sport Socks

Hey Ya'll

I'M SO BUMMED....I JUST CREATED AN ENTIRE POST THAT WAS LOST!

Okay, the jest of it...I designed a pair of socks for Lonnie...I had to post them on here even if I am on bedrest!
As some of you know, I recently knit a pair of socks for Lonnie and he loves them! I've seen him washing and wearing them 3 times a week! Yes, I'm hanging my head

these were the only socks I'd ever knit for him!
That said I had to not only knit another pair for him, but design a pair!

Lonnie enjoys short socks, they can easily be lengthened in the leg, I would suggest another ball of yarn should you choose to lengthen.

These are a simple 4 st/ 4 row slip st pattern, easily memorized. I think that this pattern would look nice with solid or variegated yarn. I have several discontinued colorways of KnitPicks hand painted merino sock yarn in my sock yarn stash and he picked one of these (yes, hand wash socks, but that's okay, my Baby is worth it!).
Oh, almost forgot, I wrote the pattern for 5 size 1 dpns, but it can easily be adapted to your favorite form of socknitting (I actually knit mine with 2 circs

)

I'm headed to the doc again tomorrow, hopefully he will allow me up more, if so you will be seeing more of me around here! Goodness, bedrest stinks, it doesn't sound like it..but it sure does make you tired!

That is so cute that Lonnie wore the first pair of socks you made for him so often. I'm sure he'll be glad to have another set in rotation. Thanks for sharing the pattern with us -- it's so refreshing to see some man socks that aren't too boring (like plain stockinette and ribbing).

Hope your appt goes well tomorrow, Rebecca, so that your doc let's you be up more. We miss you!
