FO- hat, scarf and mittens
I made this set for my cousin's son's first birthday. I didnt use a pattern for the hat or scarf, but I made the mittens from the pattern by Sandy's Needle Nook. The blue yarn is wool-ease and the black is a bit of leftover encore worsted from a ponch I made for a friend. Im spoiled now with KP yarn, so I dont really like knitting in wool-ease, but I can buy it nearby and my cousin would hurt me if I gave her a hand wash only set!

Anyway, the mittens were my first pair ever. I think they turned out rather well.

I agree, mothers of small children prefer MACHINE washable. I would love to work with all natural fibers, but the blends are easy care and easier on my budget. I'd have a fit if they ruined a $50 sweater, but I can handle it with the blends, LOL.

Great job on all, I'm sure he'll look very handsome in his new set! I love the color choice too.
