"Fur-E Yarn"

I was recently asked to knit a project with some "special" yarn. Its one of the hairy-furry type yarns. This is my first (prob last) experience with this, as this does not look good to me. Besides being difficult to knit; splits/catches/unravels..... there is no way that I'm going to be able to identify the good/bad/ugly stitches with this stuff. How the H----- do you work with this stuff?????????

that is true

If the person you are knitting this for doesn't mind.. I'd add a solid yarn to it and knit them both together.. this way you could see your sts better.. try to find a solid that matches the color.. if they don't want that then sometimes bigger needles help (if gauge wasn't an issue).. and they say the more you knit with it the easier it becomes.. I only tried when I was first starting to knit.. and it was to much of

so I haven't tried since then

you might be able to double strand the fur yarn... that might help if you don't want to do the solid with it...
