I'm working on a sweater and the pattern calls for an RT-P, which is described as:
"K2TOG, but do not drop the sts from left-hand needle, insert right-hand needle btwn the 2 sts just worked and purl the first stitch again, drop both sts from the left-hand needle."
OK, I'm doing what it says, but it doesn't look right. I'm ending up with 2 loops on my needle, however, when it comes to "work and purl the first stitch again" I'm getting confused. Also, what's "insert right-hand needle btwn the 2 sts just worked" mean? How am I supposed to purl the first stitch if the needle is on the left of of it?
Is the first stitch the one on the left, or the one on the right? I'm assuming it's the one on the right (if you assume that the sts are coming from the left-hand needle.) I'm about 1/2 way through the first rnd of doing this, and I wanna make sure I'm not doing it all wrong.
Also, I thought RTP meant "Right twist Purl", which is NOT what this is asking me to do. I can't even find a picture of what this pattern is asking for....why do people have to complicate my life by making things up??
