Leg Warmers

Anyone have any idea how to make leg warmers for a child about four years old. Can't find any free patterns and that is the rage for our girls here in town this year. I am not proficient enough to know how to convert grown-up patterns to small ones. Can anyone help me out? Anyone out there got a small child who has done this before?

I couldn't find any either so it got me to wondering... could you find a sock pattern and just use the CO sts for her size... then just make a ribbed tube till its long enough for her to be a legwarmer??

this has made me think though wouldn't my 2yr old look cute in legwarmers

Okay, this is going to drive me nuts because I KNOW I just saw a pattern for kiddie leg warmers. Lemme look around and see what I can find.
