Newbie question on Ballband dishcloth (color changes)
Forgive me because I know this is an obvious newbie question.

I've been knitting just a couple of weeks and it's going splendidly so far, and I've completed several small projects.

I'm working on the Ballband dishcloth right now, and it has multiple color changes between Color A and Color B.

I've been using the duplicate stitch join (from the video section of this site), but that leaves end pieces every few rows.

I'm assuming that I just weave them in once I'm finished, as shown on the video.

Is that the best type of join for this kind of a project?

I just want to make sure because, like most people, finishing is the hardest part for me to get excited about and I want to make sure that I'm not creating extra work at the end for myself.

Thanks so much!

When you change colors, some weaving is inevitable. I think there should be someplace we could send our knitting where the elves weave in the ends for us, and do the seaming, too, while they're at it.

LOL - weaving elves. We should be so lucky. They would be awfully busy I suspect.

They probably would work next door to the hemming and button attaching elves in the sewing department.

Finishing always seems to be an issue with me.

Thanks for your reply - at least I feel I'm on the right track, even if it does involve some extra work at the end.
