So I talked to my friend and he's like, if he gave me the amount of money to buy a ticket to NY, would I really spend it on the airfare? It's a hard decision, as I REALLY want to go, but I also REALLY want some new shoes and dental care. Cursed poverty! Maybe the fares will go down suddenly? On rare occasion they do. Hmm . . .

I am so very going!!!

I live about 25 minutes from the Dutchess County fairgrounds (where it is held).

I would also love to meet some KHers.

I went last year, before I knew how to knit, and it is what inspired me to learn. And from there I found this web site.

Thanks so much! I'm not too far away, coastal GA, I'll be waiting

Not a problem, Becca - you go wait for me outside your home. I'll be there - don't go anywhere until I get there, OK?

Seriously, I'll be there on Sunday - if any other KH'ers want to meet up, let's figure out a place to meet!

Where are you? I'm not far, either. If you don't want it public, you can PM me. I'm just curious. If you don't want to tell me, either, that's OK, too.

Cursed poverty! If we don't see a sudden drop in Chicago to NY airfares, I won't be able to go. On the plus side, my friend said he would give me a consolation prize if I can't go. Some Poirot movies? Some Rocket Dog shoes? Some fresh-from-the-farm cormo wool? hmmm . . .

I'm trying to convince my hubby
We went to the Dutchess County fair this summer and had a great time. I told my hubby about the wool festival last night. If we go it will be the whole family (2 kiddies, hubby, and me) but the kids and hubby. It probably won't work out but I'm still hopeful.

It's about 1 1/2 hours from here, I would estimate. So if I prevail and my husband wants to go see the sheep then I'll be there!

...sorry for you'all who can't go...boo hoo

KnottyDaisy, you MUST convince your husband to go! It's going to be sunny and beautiful and there's food to eat, my husband really gets off watching all the other stuff. There's free cheese & wine & other stuff tastings in the one big building, there's all kinds of other stuff to look at while you're looking at yarn. The alpacas are fun, the pumpking throwing contest....
It's A GREAT DAY. Hope you can make it.

I'm going on Saturday, tomorrow.
